Scott Soroko - Greatly missed.

Scott passed away on August 14th, 2009, in peace, with family and friends at his bedside.

The Soroko family wishes to convey their appreciation to all Scott’s friends in the billiard community for the kind words and tributes paid to Scott through personal comments, cards, letters and entries onto Facebook. Your expressions of love and caring honoured Scott and provided his family with a tremendous source of pride and consolation. We express a heartfelt thank you for making this very difficult time a celebration of Scott’s life and accomplishments.

We look forward to being a small part of this tremendous community by sponsoring along with Scott’s friends the Scott Soroko Memorial 9 Ball Tournament in the near future.

Shooterville.com

My name is Don Broos. Scott Soroko and I were very good friends. We did many things for the billiard community together, he ran ShootervilLe.com while I run a custom cue and billiard store. He was in charge of anything to do with computers and web sites while I did the other stuff. I, with the help of some of Scott’s colleagues at work are going to do what we can to keep Shooterville.com going. This is going to be a long process to get it back up to Scott’s standards but we are going to try.

I would like to thank all of the people for their kind words and support this past month, it really shows how much people can care. I would also like to thank Scott’s parents Bob and Marlene for many of Scott’s things they have given to the new Canadian Junior Pool Association which I am heading. This is to help keep the costs down for the Junior players to play at higher level competitions.

In closing, I just want to say that Scott was the kindest, most caring person I have ever come to know and he will be greatly missed by us all.

"I think it’s amazing! I have a bad memory so it’s great for me, and I hate missing tournaments and calling the whole world to find out who won; now I just go to shooterville and everything is at my fingertips."
